LHS Black History Month Program
with Gilda Rogers & Shamele Jordan<\/h2>

Gilda Rogers<\/strong>, executive director of the T. Thomas\u00a0Fortune Cultural Center in Red Bank, Monmouth County, will address the Lawnside Historical Society’s free Black History Month program on Thursday, Feb. 9 at 7 p.m. via Zoom.

Shamele Jordon<\/strong>, historian and genealogist, will share a HistoryMonth on Lawnside government at the start of the meeting.<\/p><\/div>

Ms. Rogers is executive director of the T. Thomas Fortune Cultural Center<\/a> and is a journalist, author, historian, educator and entrepreneur, who has worked since 2008 with a dedicated group to turn the endangered Italianate home into an exhibit space and gathering place to engage the community in re-defining its future in the spirit of Fortune.<\/p>\n<\/div>
