The Peter Mott House is now open to the general public. Please use the buttons below to book tours for small and large groups. Walk-in guests are also invited on Saturdays.

Note: All guests’ temperatures will be checked, required to wear masks and provided with hand sanitizer upon entry. Social distancing will also be observed.

Guides are on duty every Saturday. Groups of more than five people should reserve a tour.

ADA Accessibility

Note: The Peter Mott House is a 19th-century building and is partially ADA Accessible for visitors that do not require motorized wheelchairs. Visitors with limited mobility may take a modified tour. Hearing-impaired individuals may have access to translators for their visits. Please call 856.546.8850 for more information.

Parking

The Peter Mott House is located in a residential neighborhood. We are committed to being good neighbors and hope you will be respectful of people’s homes and driveways.

When visiting the Peter Mott House, please park on Moore or Gloucester avenues, not Kings Court, to avoid blocking residents’ driveways.

The Peter Mott House will be closed on these days. Please note these closures as you make plans to visit our historical site.

  • UGRR Youth Camp: June 26 – 30, 2023
  • 4th of July: July 1 – 4, 2023
  • Labor Day: September 1 – 4, 2023
  • Thanksgiving: November 23 – 25, 2023
  • Christmas to New Years Day: December 21, 2023 – January 2, 2024

Driving Directions

Take either the Walt Whitman or the Ben Franklin Bridge to I-676. Take the exit on the right marked I-295 North/Trenton. Take Exit 29A, White Horse Pike/Route 30 East heading toward Berlin. At the third traffic light, turn left onto Gloucester Avenue. Pick up directions from NJ Turnpike North.

Take the NJ Turnpike south to Exit 3.
You will be on the Black Horse Pike heading toward Camden. At the second traffic light, turn right. This is Browning Road. Stay on Browning Road until it becomes Gloucester Pike, then Gloucester Avenue. You will cross the White Horse Pike. The first street on the right is Moore Avenue. Turn right onto Moore. The Peter Mott House is at the end of a cul-de-sac called Kings Court. Park directly in front of the picket fence.

From the North (via I-295)
Take I-295 South to Exit 30. Bear to the right onto Warwick Road. At the first traffic light, turn right onto Gloucester Avenue. Turn left at Moore Avenue, the first street on the left. The Peter Mott House is at the end of the cul-de-sac called Kings Court.

From the South (via NJ Turnpike)
Take the NJ Turnpike north to Exit 3. Get on the Black Horse Pike heading toward Camden. At the second traffic light, turn right onto Browning Road. Pick up directions from NJ Turnpike North.
