Game Lovers Unite! Underground Railroad Experience at the Peter Mott House

The Historical Society and the Dr. James Still Historic Office and Education Center are uniting to present the Underground Railroad Experience on March 15th, 2025 at the Peter Mott House in Lawnside, and on March 16th, 2025 the Still Center in Medford.

Game lovers will work together helping freedom seekers escape enslavement in “Freedom: The Underground Railroad” board game. Visitors of all ages can join in to help the abolitionists.

Try out virtual reality “Escape to Freedom,” where players guide a family of four on their courageous escape on a journey to the Snow Hill home of Peter and Elizabeth Ann Mott.

No advance registration is required. At the Still Center, historical actor Barry Moore will portray Henry “Box” Brown, who escaped to Philadelphia  from Richmond, Virginia, in a wooden craft.

Admission: $10 for adults; $5 for students

Mott House Tour Requests - Small Groups
This form is used to book small groups of at least 5 people at the Peter Mott House. Individuals and smaller groups should plan on Saturday walk-ins visits from 12 to 3 PM.
