Museum Visionaries Share Dreams for Camden, Atlantic City

October 9, 2025 @ 7:00 PM 8:30 PM EDT

Ralph Hunter, Sr., 87, and Larry Miles, 92, dream of a New Jersey landscape featuring African American museums in Atlantic City and Camden, respectively. The men are collectors, business leaders and entrepreneurs who educate and inspire. Mr. Miles founded La Unique African American Bookstore and Cultural Center in Camden, which is located on the newly named Larry Miles Way. Mr. Hunter’s collection is on display at the Noyes Arts Garage in Atlantic City and the African American Heritage Museum of Southern New Jersey in Newtonville. Both are putting their dreams into action.

Learn about their determination, drive and why this work is vital to the future where we are all better informed about our history and culture.

Attendance is free but registration is required.
