LHS Monthly Meeting: The Hi-Hat, Tippin Inn and other Green Book Locations in Lawnside and Berlin

The Green Book Research Team has unearthed loads of pictures, advertisements, news articles and stories about the people who created businesses in Lawnside and Berlin that beckoned to Black motorists during segregation. Shamele Jordon, Floyd Riley and Andrea McDonald introduce us to those people, places and patrons in this pre-Juneteenth extravaganza. The project is funded by a grant from the New Jersey Historical Commission.
