LHS Monthly Meeting: Behind the Big House and the Slave Dwelling Project, Interpreting Slavery

Dr. Rkhty Amen, Egyptologist, linguist and historian will speak on Behind the Big House and The Slave Dwelling Project to the Society on Thursday, May 14, at 7 p.m. via Zoom.
Dr. Rkhty is a founding member of Behind The Big House in Holly Springs, Mississippi, Gracing the Table, an organization whose goal is to promote racial understanding, Co-Founder of Marshall County African American Living History Association, member of Mississippi Roots and Wings, member of the Marshall County Genealogy Society, and Founding member of Rust College Genealogy Group whose goal is to collect and archive local family histories at Rust College, and Contributing Researcher to several other Marshall County historical projects.
