Gilda Rogers, executive director of the T. Thomas Fortune Cultural Center, Red Bank, New Jersey, will discuss the extraordinary crusading journalist, activist and adviser to Booker T. Washington, Ida B. Wells, W.E.B. DuBois and Marcus Garvey.
Ms. Rogers is an editor, author, historian and educator, who has worked to restore Fortune’s home, a National Historic Landmark, for more than 15 years.
