“Lawnside” ~ The Musical: The History of the ONLY African American Municipality North of the Mason Dixon Line

Join us for the musical production of “Lawnside” by Charlotte & Kenneth Brown, and performed by the United Youth of New Jersey in 2020 in Elizabeth, NJ.

The Lawnside Historical Society and United Youth of New Jersey present “Lawnside,” the film of the musical play about the history of the only African American municipality north of the Mason Dixon Line. The play was written by Kenneth and Charlotte Brown after a year of local research and interviews with community elders.
