Harris. An internationally known culinary historian and educator, Harris is the author of a dozen books on the foodways of the African diaspora. She holds a Ph.D. from NYU and is an English professor at Queens College, CUNY. Her 2011 book, High on the Hog: A Culinary Journey from Africa to America, forms the basis for the popular Netflix series of the same name. Come and learn about the complex ways that food and its history shape Blackness around the globe.
