Camden County Library Black History Month Series: “Journey on the Underground Railroad”

For the second year, members of the Lawnside Historical Society will give free one-hour presentations during Black History Month at three branches of the Camden County Public Library.

“Journey on the Underground Railroad” with Jacqueline Miller-Bentley, Society board member, as she chronicles the challenges and triumphs of escapees from enslavement to freedom and their courageous allies. Mrs. Miller-Bentley is co-director of the Society’s Underground Railroad Camp for middle school students.
