100th Anniversary Exhibit Green Book Panel

Lawnside and Berlin were destinations for Black drivers during the Jim Crow era. The night clubs, restaurants, beauty salons and barbershops provided safe spaces where people could relax and enjoy themselves. The New Jersey HIstorical Commission provided a grant for research to produce a documentary and website; here are some glimpses of what historians found.
