The King's Road Questers of Haddonfield donated a working spinning wheel, a wooden bench and a ceramic jug to the Peter Mott House on Feb. 21.
The chapter had earlier donated a wooden table and chairs for the Peter Mott House kitchen. The group has contributed more than $11,000 to restoring and furnishing the house for nearly 12 years.
Member Sharon Winge said, "We look this project." It shows in the numerous fundraisers they've held over the years including a Victorian tea and demonstration, a garden party and applying for a grant to the International Questers.
The rough-hewn bench is built with wooden pegs and matches the hunter green shutters on the exterior of the Mott House. The spinning wheel dates to the mid-19th century and actually works. Local spinner Bishop Gilbert Lyons has pledged to do a demonstration at the Mott House. The gray jug was probably used for cooling beverages. It has a narrow pouring spout.
Society members thanked the Questers for their continued support.
